At Mark Skalny Photography we understand that our clients will have many questions to consider before hiring us. In anticipation of some of these questions, we have listed a few we frequently encounter. Nevertheless, if you have a specific question not covered below, please feel free to contact us.

Q:     What type of photography do you provide?

A.    We are a full-service digital photography company, providing a wide range of photographic services including:  Advertising, Annual Report and Commercial Photography, Corporate Executive Business Portraits, Event and  Convention Photography, Editorial and Magazine Photographs, Stock Images and Inspirational Fine Art Images.

Q:     When will I receive my images after the completion of the shoot?

A.    Standard turn around time for a final image package is seven business days. The package includes: a contact sheet of all the edited images, and a CD/DVD or Jump Drive containing all the High Res JPG Files. Expedited services are available, but these may be “Proof Images Only” or unedited. These services include On-Site file deliver, Private On-line Galleries and Secure FTP transfer if you need multiple people to view files across the globe. Additional fees do apply for expedited services.

Q:     What file sizes and formats can I except to receive?

A.    We can capture all images in Raw File formats, JPEGs or TIFF to provide you the highest level of image sharpness and quality. Our standard image format and size  is a JPEG file at 3000x2000 (8”x12”) at 300dpi in either sRGB or Adobe RGB. Both are well suited for four-color printing as well as desktop Ink Jet printers.

Q:     What should I wear when attending my Business Portrait Session?

A.    We  strongly suggest that you wear the proper attire for your industry and encourage  you to choose an outfit that makes you feel comfortable. It is tough enough to sit in front of a camera and smile, why make it even more painful with clothes that are uncomfortable.  Avoid too much white as it can wash out your skin tones.  Blacks are sliming, but too much can get very muddy during the printing process and be more difficult to print. A nice mix of rich dark hues with a splash of colors always works well. We suggest  you bring a few outfits so we have options, and for the ladies, please bring some accessories.
